Roanoke County Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire on Hidden Woods Drive. Units arrived and had heavy smoke and flames showing from the roof. After trying an initial interior attack, crews were evacuated due to deteriorating structural components and the a great potential for a roof collapse. A defensive attack was established to gain control of the fire. The fire also dangered neighboring houses and crews had to protect multiple exposures.
