| 300 Block of 10th Street Vinton |

Around 9 PM tonight Career and volunteer firefighters from Vinton, Mt. Pleasant, and Reed Mountain repsonded to a structure fire in the 300 Block of 10th Street Vinton. Four people lived in the house but everybody is ok but the house was a total loss.

Around 4:30 today crews from Hollins, Vinton, and volunteer crews from Reed Mountain responded to a Structure Fire on Glade Creek Rd. One volunteer firefighter was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

| Poor Mountain Brush Fire |

Crews from Roanoke County and the Forestry Department had a 45-50 acre fire today on Poor Mountain. The fire is 100% contained and was started when leaves got into a pickup trucks engine compartment. No houses were threatened and there are no injuries to report.
